Mark Lawrenson predicts winner of Everton Premier League clash v Newcastle
Mark Lawrenson has predicted Everton to suffer another Premier League defeat when they take on Newcastle on Wednesday night.
After failing to pose a goal threat against Tottenham Hotspur, Lawrenson does not think that they have enough in the tank to score against the Magpies.
He expects the hosts to cruise to victory while keeping a clean sheet on the way.

Lawrenson predicted a 2-0 result and told Paddy Power, “Newcastle are on a good run and full of confidence. Everton didn’t really lay a glove on Tottenham last weekend, and don’t really carry a big goal threat.”
Tough one
Newcastle have spent loads of money in the summer but have also got in the right players that fit the manager’s philosophy.
Eddie Howe is an experienced Premier League manager who’s improved many players at St. James’ Park.
They’ve given a fight to Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool this season and continue their fight to finish in the European places this season.
By no means is this going to be an easy game for Frank Lampard’s men but it is far from a foregone conclusion as Lawrenson is making it out to be.
The Toffees have game changers of their own among their ranks and it will be interesting to see if the attacking players can finally click to their maximum potential.
Everton have been solid defensively and in midfield, but in the final third, their players have underperformed massively and that’s been the main worry with relegation still a very serious concern.
