Journalist rubbishes claims of Anthony Gordon unhappiness amid Everton contract talks
Anthony Gordon is reportedly not unhappy at Everton as he’s in contract extension talks after a failed move to Chelsea and Newcastle over the summer.
According to the Daily Mail’s Dominic King, claims that the Englishman is not happy with the £100k/week terms at Goodison Park are absolutely not true.
Even manager Frank Lampard has come out to say that he’s not seen anything to suggest that the 21-year-old is unhappy at the club.

“I have no concerns about the noise around the contract and I have spoken to him about it,” said Lampard.
“I think that’s private, and I think unfortunately the headline is the numbers people talk about and obviously that should stay private.
“Generally, I’m all for players getting what they deserve in their contracts.”
Hope he kicks on
Everyone knows what a quality talent Gordon is and there’s a reason why Chelsea were willing to shell out top dollar for him.
Even apart from them, Newcastle had their eyes set on him and at a certain point, moves to both clubs seemed likely.
However, he ended up staying put at the club, much to the delight of everyone involved as he was arguably their best player after Richarlison left.
This season, Gordon has not lived up to the billing and it’s about time he takes some responsibility and carries the burden in attack.
Lampard clearly is looking to build the team around him and many signings were made to ensure that they get the best of the 21-year-old.
It’s now time for some consistency from the Englishman and we back him to thrive for Everton once he gets into the rhythm and starts scoring a few goals.
