Everton predicted XI v Crystal Palace: Idrissa Gueye out, James Garner in

Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Saturday.

After a disappointing performance against Newcastle, Frank Lampard will target this game as a chance for his side to pick up three vital points.

Currently, the Toffees find themselves closer to the relegation zone than they would have liked and it’s not a position they would want to be in for too long.

We expect Lampard to ring in the changes as he’ll be looking for a response from his players and cannot continue to keep picking the same team.

The first change we expect is in defence with Ruben Vinagre coming in for Vitaliy Mykolenko.

The Ukrainian has not done much wrong but his performance against Newcastle was a tad underwhelming and Vinagre will on the lookout for game time and the opportunity to impress.

The other change is in midfield after Idrissa Gueye dropped a stinker and at 33, starting another game with barely any rest may be a tad unrealistic.

James Garner has done well off the bench so this should be the right time to bring him in and ask him to start a game.

Our final change may be slightly unpopular, but we’re going for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be benched for Neal Maupay.

The England international completed just six passes against Newcastle and was anonymous for virtually the entire game.

Maupay on the other hand, drops deep and links up play and we’re expecting Everton to see more of the ball against Palace so he would be the perfect player to lead the line.
