Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford believes he is in best form of his career so far

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford believes he is in the best form of his career so far and wants to strive to get even better.

The Toffees shot-stopper has been fantastic so far this season and has ranked highest amongst the Premier League’s best goalkeepers.

Pickford admitted that his form has been good and he’ll keep striving to become better and better as his career progresses.

“I feel my own form has been good,” said Pickford as quoted by TalkSPORT.

“I think I’ve carried it on and been consistent over the last couple of years now and just keep on striving to get better and better.

“I feel like I’ve started well, unfortunately, I missed the England games and one game against West Ham through injury.

“But I worked hard to get back out on the pitch as quick as I can. My own form is good and I just keep on building and building and each game I’m ready for.”

Consistency.

Pickford needs to find some more consistency for Everton, he’s a star performer every time he puts on an England shirt but he showed his flaws against Tottenham last Saturday.

The keeper gave away a penalty and again highlighted his occasional mistake that makes fans question whether he is as good as everyone makes him out to be.

There’s no denying the England no.1 has been fantastic this season for the majority of games but he was poor against Tottenham on Saturday.

Lampard needs to ensure that he does get more consistent over time or he’ll risk his best goalkeeper becoming complacent.

Pickford literally has zero competition for his starting spot at the Toffees and it is no surprise given just how well he has performed in recent years, pulling off some incredible saves.

With rumours swirling in the transfer world that he may be on his way out of Goodison Park, Pickford always has that speculation surrounding him as he continues to impress.
