Everton fans will not be overly thrilled by the fact that Simon Hooper will be part of the officiating team for the clash against Fulham.

Hooper, who was the referee in the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park, made a number of questionable calls.

The dissent was audible from the stands and despite the win, the fans were not pleased with his performance on the day.

Via Twitter, Mirror journalist Richard Buxton wrote, "John Brooks confirmed as referee for Everton’s trip to Fulham. Simon Hooper named fourth official after his horror show at Goodison Park last weekend."

While he has not been put on refereeing duties for the Fulham clash, he will be the fourth official which could lead to fans questioning the call.

After a performance like that, many will feel aggrieved by the choice to give him a second game in a row involving the same club.

The allocation system for referees is baffling, to say the least, and fans will hope that Hooper is not given another Toffees game for a while.

Everton need to continue their good run of form and get closer to where they would like to be in terms of league places.

Fulham have started the season strongly and are going to be no pushovers, especially at home, so Lampard's side will need to conjure up something special.

A win leapfrogs Everton into the top half - something that seemed unthinkable at the start of the season.

Things look to be picking up now and hopefully, their players retain their fitness until the World Cup begins.
