Arsenal and Manchester City told to pay £87m for Everton target Mykhaylo Mudryk

Arsenal and Manchester City have told to pay £87million to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk who has also been linked with Everton.

According to the Evening Standard on 27 October, the Ukrainian club have sent out a clear message that he will have to be one of the league’s most expensive signings of all time.

While the two billionaire-owned clubs can afford this, it almost puts Everton out of the race, given their financial constraints.

The Toffees are known to be admirers of the 21-year-old and would have signed him in the summer itself if they had the chance.

They have sent scouts to track him recently and we’re certain that the feedback they must have relayed to the club would’ve been of a positive nature.

That said, the chances of the Toffees breaking their transfer record and by such a huge margin, is nigh on impossible.

They had to generate funds from the big-money sale of Richarlison to Spurs in order to strengthen other areas of the pitch.

They even relied on free agents over the last two summers and loan moves to get players that give them a chance of first and foremost staying in the Premier League.

Also, there’s so much going about the takeover and signing him would not do the club’s valuation any great benefits so we do not see Farhad Moshiri sanctioning this move.

Everton need to sign players before the big clubs get their eyes on them because they’re going to be priced out of a move then.

They will be deep into the FFP predicament if they do end up paying up what Donetsk want for his services.
