Chris Sutton predicts result of Everton Premier League clash v Fulham

Chris Sutton has opted to sit on the fence as he’s predicted a draw in the Everton v Fulham Premier League clash on Saturday.

Fulham have defied expectations with their start this season and Sutton admits that he’s written them off time and again, to his peril.

He has thus gone for a draw given the fact that the Toffees have also been in a decent run of form and recently beat Crystal Palace 3-0.

Everton

Sutton told the BBC, “Everton have got something about them now under Frank Lampard but I have been really impressed with Fulham too, and I have written them off too many times this season.

“Marco Silva’s side are lively home or away and they will have a real go at Goodison Park too – the battle between Aleksandar Mitrovic and James Tarkowski and Conor Coady will be a really good one.

“You could make a case for both teams to win this one… so I am going for a draw. Prediction: 1-1.”

Will take it

No away trips are easy in the Premier League, especially if it’s a side in the top half of the table playing some good football.

Mitrovic is a game changer and extremely difficult to keep him quiet but the Toffees defenders will be confident, given how good they’ve been this season.

James Tarkowski can deal with the Serbian’s threat while Coady is also more than capable of putting in a shift.

Coady was criticised at Wolves for not being able to play well in a four, but he’s silenced all his critics this time and formed a seamless understanding with Tarkowski.

Alex Iwobi is in the form of his life while Dominic Calvert-Lewin seems to be back to his goal-scoring ways so there’s very little to worry about as an Everton fan.

There’s even a good chance that the Toffees go on and take the three points so we’re excited as to what it might bring this weekend.
