Everton player ratings v Fulham: Jordan Pickford outstanding
Everton travelled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (29 October) looking to pick up back-to-back wins.
The game was played at an electric pace, with both teams creating some very good chances. Jordan Pickford was simply outstanding for the Toffees as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Anthony Gordon was unusually poor during the game, while Idrissa Gueye was really lucky after his challenge in the box was unnoticed. It’s a good point away from home, but we hardly created anything in the second half.

Goodison View rated the player below out of 10.
Jordan Pickford – 9
The Everton goalkeeper was outstanding in the first half as made some scintillating saves to keep the Toffees in the game. He was sensational. He pulled off another top save to deny Willian again in the second half. He was our man of the match for the game.
Seamus Coleman – 4
The veteran right-back kept his place in the side after his brilliant performance against Crystal Palace. He was decent at the back, but rarely joined the attack. In fact, there was very little attacking threat from the right-hand side in the first half from the full-back. Lampard took him off at the start of the second half.
Conor Coady – 8
He was superb in the first half, making some brilliant clearances. Made a fabulous interception to prevent a dangerous cross, and should have scored after Mykolenko found him in the box unmarked.
James Tarkowski – 8
Another fantastic display from the free summer signing. He was solid at the back, anticipating dangers. The towering defender missed a glorious opportunity to score from a header.
Vitalli Mykolenko – 6
He looked decent and played out some fantastic crosses. Made some good interceptions in the first half. In the second half, he made some superb clearances and probably should have done more going forward.
Idriss Gana Gueye – 5
Should Mitrovic deserve a red card? The debate can go on, but Gana usually was subdued in the middle of the park. He was really lucky not to have conceded a penalty after a poor challenge in the box. He was taken off in the second half, with James Garner replacing him.
Amadou Onana – 6
Nearly scored a goal for the Toffees in the second half. It was a composed performance in the midfield, where he maintained possession and made some strong tackles.
Alex Iwobi – 6
It was another solid performance from him. Busy throughout the game, he brings extra energy in the middle of the park. He put in a lot of defensive shifts but should have done more with the ball in good areas. Made a fantastic run and released a ball for Calvert-Lewin in the second half, but he was marginally offside.
Demarai Gray – 6
He was lively in the opening few minutes and had a shot that just flew over the bar. He created some very good chances for his teammates. His influence waned in the second half, and was rightly taken off by Lampard.
Anthony Gordon – 3
In the first half, Gordon was barely involved. He lost his marker on one or two occasions and didn’t track back as he should have. He misplaced his passes, and when he got a chance to hit the target from close range, he skied the ball in the stands. The same trend continued in the second half. When he got the ball in good areas, he lost possession, much to the frustration of the manager.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 5
The England striker made more defensive clearances than proving a threat upfront. He should have scored from a peach of a delivery from Gray. But apart from that, the cutting edge was lacking.
