Everton flop Dele Alli receives damning verdict from Besiktas manager Senol Gunes
Everton midfielder Dele Alli has been struggling to make an impact in Turkey with Besiktas and now his manager Senol Gunes has provided a damning update.
Alli made the switch to Turkey to reignite his career and things look to have now gone from bad to worse for the once highly-rated playmaker.
Gunes admitted that Alli was playing “below expectations” in a damning statement which seems to indicate the Englishman isn’t hitting the heights in Turkey either.

“I couldn’t affect the players [yet], now I can easily touch them, but we haven’t touched Dele Alli yet,” said Gunes as quoted by the Daily Express.
“Let’s not discuss Dele Alli as a player, but he is below expectations in terms of efficiency.”

Tragic.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for Alli, they do, he seems to have lost the plot completely now after his move to Turkey.
It’s a shame because the move to Besiktas seemed like a risk that might pay off but the midfielder evidently isn’t putting the work in to thrive in the Super Lig.
The club have a buy option at the end of Alli’s loan which they will unlikely trigger now due to the midfielder’s poor form.
This means Everton will be stuck with Alli unless they can find him an alternative, it’s highly unlikely any clubs will be fighting for his signature after his latest debacle.
He could have permanently joined the Turkish side for £6m if the clause was triggered before the January transfer window opens.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that the price increases to £8m between January 1 and June 1, which indicates Besiktas would be signing him imminently if he had impressed.
