Everton midfielder Amadou Onana is blown away by Bramley-Moore Dock stadium

The Bramley-Moore Dock stadium is on course to be completed for the start of the 2024/2025 season and Everton midfielder Amadou Onana can’t wait to play there.

Onana visited the site of the new Everton Stadium this week, a site that he will soon be calling home once the club’s love affair with Goodison Park comes to an end.

The midfielder admitted that he was “blown away” by the progress of the stadium and couldn’t believe how quickly it was coming together on the new site.

“it is my ambition to play here,” said Onana as quoted by evertonfc.com.

“It looks amazing so I’m very much looking forward to that day. I want to help bring Everton back to where the Club belongs.

“I’m completely blown away [by the stadium]. It looks fantastic. I can’t believe how fast it is growing.”

Everton

Dynamic.

Onana has been a focal point in Frank Lampard’s new-look Everton midfield this season alongside Alex Iwobi and Idrissa Gueye.

He’s been one of the Toffees stand-out performers and there’s no doubt he’ll reach an even higher level by the time the new stadium is built.

By that point Blues will be hoping to be challenging in the top half of the Premier League once again, young talents like Onana will only help this.

Hopefully, the prospect of playing at a new stadium will only enhance Everton’s chances of signing top talents from around Europe.

There’s no reason why it shouldn’t, teams moving to new state-of-the-art stadiums usually attracts bigger names in turn.

You only have to look as far as the blueprint Tottenham created with their new stadium to see how it generates more money for the club.

Until then Lampard needs to build a winning machine, something that will take time but isn’t completely out of the question.
