Joleon Lescott goes with his ‘heart over head’ in Everton vs Leicester prediction
Joleon Lescott has let his heart rule his head in predicting an Everton win when Leicester City arrive at Goodison Park on Saturday evening.
The “high-intensity” atmosphere that the Toffees fans create at home is the difference maker for the former Everton defender, despite the Foxes having tightened up at the back recently.
Although Frank Lampard has his side six places higher than the visitors, Leicester’s form over the last five is actually slightly better, but BT Sport pundit Lescott has gone for a 2-1 home win.

In his predictions for Live Score Lescott said: “Leicester have kept clean sheets in four of their last six matches, so clearly Brendan Rodgers has looked to address their slump by getting the basics right at the back.
“Everton fans expect a high-intensity performance at Goodison Park as the minimum requirement but they should also be finding a positive result from this kind of fixture.
“Again, I’m probably going heart over head and will edge for a narrow home win.”
Twelfth man
Rodgers’ side are finally finding their feet after a very rough start to the season, but still find themselves in the relegation zone.
Everton went through a similar experience a lot earlier, and on the whole have been much-improved from last season, even accounting for the three-game losing streak against three of the top five recently.
The defences of both sides will surely be their respective strengths so the difference is likely to be whether the attacking stars can perform.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was excellent in the previous home game, the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace (22 October), so if he can reproduce that, along with a couple of his teammates, a win should be on the cards.
The Goodison crowd always gives the players a lift, and playing in the late game should make that all the more so.
Going into the November and December break for the World Cup in the top half of the table would be a good indicator of how far this team has grown since narrowly escaping relegation last season, and three points this weekend would put that well in sight.
