Everton: New Bramley-Moore Dock development installed in coming weeks
Everton have confirmed that the first giant roof truss for the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium has been successfully installed.
The 100-tonne section of steelwork – the first of five roof trusses – was lifted into place in the north stand earlier this week (7 November), with the other four to be placed in the coming weeks.
Everton’s new home on the north docks is set for completion in the 2024/25 season and due to cost in the region of £500 million, with planners given the green light to begin construction last year.

The 12,000 tonnes of steel will make up the framework of the 52,888-capacity stadium, with two smaller trusses located in the north stand, and the other three on top of the one-tier south stand.
The remaining four trusses are set to be lifted into place over the World Cup break, it seems.

Pressure
With good news arriving from the north docks of Liverpool on the construction of their new stadium, Everton and more importantly Frank Lampard will surely be feeling the pressure that comes with such an investment.
The new state-of-the-art stadium’s construction seems to be going remarkably well in comparison to recent performances on the pitch, with Everton sitting just two points above the relegation zone.
A comprehensive 2-0 defeat to Leicester in the league and a 4-1 drubbing by Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup have left Lampard’s side lacking confidence and in desperate need of results.
Such threat of relegation from the top-flight of English football will surely strike fear into Farhad Moshiri and the main contractor of the new stadium Laing O’Rourke.
The timely development from earlier this week is a good distraction from proceedings on the pitch, with the club set to face Bournemouth on Saturday in what already feels like a six-pointer – even at this early stage of the season.
