Another relegation scrap is not where the club wants or needs to be and it’s far from an attractive package for potential new signings to look at.
Lampard can’t be blamed fully for the team’s current poor form, there are glaring holes within his squad that weren’t addressed this summer.
The main one is the void Richarlison left when he joined Tottenham, this has never been filled and has left the Blues without goals.
Now is not the time to mope about and get angry, it’s fair enough for fans to get frustrated but the team need the Toffees’ support now more than ever.
