Everton target Daichi Kamada issues major update on January transfer post World Cup 2022
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur target Daichi Kamada has gone on record to state that he wants to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the season.
The Toffees have already knocked on the door over the possibility of signing him in the January transfer window.
Fussball Transfers on 2 November reported that the World Cup-bound attacker faces an uncertain future at the Bundesliga club with an exit very much on the cards.

He told German media outlet Sport1, “I’m staying in Frankfurt this season. Even if there could be talks with other clubs in winter, I’m not interested in leaving immediately. I’ve already decided that I want to finish the season with this coach and this team.
“I am much more demanding than you think when it comes to the clubs I would like to switch to. There have been talks and contacts with big clubs for two years.
“Of course we are in talks about extending the contract. After my performance, that’s not a big surprise either.”
Continue the pursuit
The Express reported in September that Leeds United and Spurs were exploring the possibility of signing the Japan international.
For the Toffee, it’s going to be hard to compete with a club that will offer him Champions League football and higher wages.
However, they already have four extremely talented attacking players and even all of them are not in the same team at the same time.
Kamada would surely want regular game time which means that his chances of getting that at Everton are way higher than in North London.
Everton must continue their pursuit and be in the touch with his agents as players tend to make their minds up after big tournaments.
He would be a welcome addition at the club as he’s a constant goal threat – finding the back of the net seven times and providing three assists in 11 league starts this term.
Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic is also a big fan and praised him following his brace against Arsenal in 2019.
He said via the Bundesliga website, “He waited so long for his first goals, perhaps the dam’s broken. He was brilliant, he’s a fantastic player.”
We’re hoping the Toffees look to sign him either in January or in the summer.
