Celtic are reportedly not concerned about Ange Postecoglu leaving amid his links with Japan or the Everton job should they replace Frank Lampard.

Newspaper journalist Alan Nixon reported that the Toffees were keeping tabs on the Australian amid their poor run of form which has left them in 17th place.

Scottish Daily Express claim [16 November] that the defending SPFL champions are not stressed about the speculation having heard of interest from a number of sides.

Avoid

Postecoglu may have won the league seven times in his career but most of them are accolades he’s achieved in Australia.

The level of football there is nothing compared to the Premier League and the Goodison Park gig will certainly be the biggest one in his career.

He may be achieving well in Scotland, but it now appears to be a one-horse race given how Rangers have declined post Steven Gerrard.

Even Gerrard came to the Premier League after impressing in the SPFL, but it was quickly evident that he was not cut out for this level yet.

The same could be the case with Postecoglu and unless Everton are getting in a proven manager at the top level, they are better off with Lampard.

At least the players are still playing for him and defensively he’s improved the team a great deal since taking over and most of his signings are now fitting in well.
