Everton appear to be planning for life without Yerry Mina with £13m bid on the cards

Everton appear to be planning for life without Yerry Mina amid his lack of form and numerous injury concerns of late.

The Colombia international only just returned to the first team scene after missing months due to injury.

His last game prior to his comeback was on the opening weekend of the season and he failed to complete the full 90 minutes on that occasion as well.

If Everton are trusting Frank Lampard, they certainly want him to build for the future and by the looks of it, Mina is not part of his plans.

Tutto Udinese reported on 15 November that the club were planning a £13million bid for Udinese centre-back Rodrigo Becao.

This would be ideal as it could see them let Mina leave and they should expect a relatively similar fee for the Colombian.

Given Everton’s financial constraints, spending too much money is unlikely but getting a replacement for close to money is very much a possibility.

Becao is someone who’s been linked with a move to Goodison Park for a while so he clearly is rated by the hierarchy there.

It does make sense to explore a move for the 26-year-old Brazilian as it’s always good to have three top centre-backs at the club.

Ben Godfrey also may not be the same after he’s back to full fitness so it’s important to have a quality backup to Conor Coady and James Tarkowski.
