Everton loanee Lewis Dobbin sends Twitter message after ‘outrageous’ goal
Everton loanee Lewis Dobbin took to Twitter to share his reaction after Derby County eased into the second round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night (15 November).
The 19-year-old striker joined the Rams in the summer transfer window on loan, and scored a thunderous volley, which BBC Sport has described as “outrageous”.
Derby defeated National League strugglers Torquay United 5-0 in their replay at Pride Park, and Frank Lampard will be pleased with Dobbin’s effort.
Dobbin wrote on Twitter: “Next round Emirates FA Cup.”
Progress
It came as a big surprise when Dobbin was allowed to go out on loan in the summer.
Many thought that Lampard will give him regular opportunities this season, but the Toffees boss probably had other plans.
Dobbins has a contract at the Merseyside club until 2025, and therefore the club is pretty relaxed about his development.

The latest performance has been praised by the Toffees fans on the Internet, and Lampard will be thrilled by the effort. The technique and the quality shown by the youngster have been top-notch.
Dobbin, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has had a quiet season so far, and this was his first goal of the season.
He has managed three assists in all competitions so far. It is highly unlikely that Lampard will recall him to the side from his loan spell, but there will be reasons for excitement if Dobbin continues to impress for the rest of the season.
