Everton forward Anthony Gordon sets Premier League quickest recorded speed this season

Everton forward Anthony Gordon is the fastest man in the Premier League after he recorded the quickest speed among all players so far this season.

The Premier League shared the stats on Twitter on Thursday (24 November) where Gordon has outperformed the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City strikers Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland respectively in terms of speed.

Gordon has recorded a speed of 36.6 km per hour, fractionally better than Nunez.

Football.London reported on 20 November that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are still interested in signing the forward in the January transfer window.

Special talent

Gordon is a special talent and there’s no way the club should look to sell him in the January window.

The youngster started the season strongly but his performance dipped a bit in the past few months.

He impressed once again during the recent friendly games in Australia, where he netted a hat-trick against Western Sydney Wanderers.

In the summer, Chelsea were heavily linked with a move, but they were reluctant to meet his asking price.

Everton have made their stance clear. Gordon is an asset to the club, and any potential suitor will have to pay in the north of £60m to secure his signature.

It will be a big blow for the club if they lose Gordon, but with that money, Frank Lampard would be able to rebuild the squad with quality players.

Whatever happens in January, Lampard will demand more from the youngster after the World Cup break as the Toffees look to climb up the ladder once again.
