Tom Davies injury could be much worse than first feared for Everton - Injury Expert

Everton midfielder Tom Davies’ injury is much worse than first feared by the club, according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.

The 24-year-old has had to return from Australia to England after suffering an injury on the club’s mid-season trip to the country.

Davies confessed that the midfielder’s injury “certainly isn’t minor” and that it will definitely be one to watch as he heads back to Finch Farm for treatment.

“It’s one to watch,” said the injury expert as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.

“The decision was made fairly quickly [for Davies to return to the UK]. So, we know that it certainly isn’t minor.

“You just hope it isn’t on the other end of that scale in terms of maybe an ACL.”

Dinnery is usually spot on with his injury predictions, which doesn’t bode well for Davies coming out of this one unscathed.

The midfielder has had a torrid time of it with injuries over his career and he never seems to get a fair chance at making a consistent run in the first team.

Davies, as we all know, has the ability to be a top player for the Toffees so it’s always frustrating to see him out on the sidelines for lengthy periods.

Fans will have to keep their fingers and toes crossed that it isn’t a fearsome ACL injury, this would likely spell the end of the 24-year-old’s season.

Frank Lampard is definitely the best manager to get the most out of Davies, but it doesn’t look like he’ll get the chance to do that any time soon.

Everton have yet to confirm the extent of the midfielder’s injury just yet, so hopefully, Dinnery has got this one wrong.
