Frank Lampard wants Everton to sign new right-winger on loan in January
Everton are looking at bringing in a new right-winger over January, with the Toffees looking at a short-term deal according to Alan Nixon.
Goals and creativity have been a huge issue for Everton this season, and Frank Lampard is reportedly eyeing up new reinforcements out wide.
Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon have often started out wide for the Toffees, but summer signing Dwight McNeil was handed more and more minutes as the season ticked on due to Gordon’s huge drop in form.

The 21-year-old’s inconsistency may be a huge worry to Lampard, who is keen on signing a new right-winger in January according to newspaper journalist Nixon.
Via his Patreon, Nixon said: “Everton boss Frank Lampard is looking for a right winger on loan to bolster his squad for the survival fight.
“Lampard’s spies are looking at home and abroad for a wide man to add to their squad and they are looking in the short-term market.”
Gordon gone?
Lampard’s eagerness to sign a new right-winger – especially on a short-term deal – may stem from the fear of Gordon leaving the club in January.

Or, after witnessing his drop in form, Lampard has agreed with the board to sell Gordon amid interest from Tottenham and Chelsea [Express], and is now pushing for a replacement to be found as soon as possible.
Frankly, losing Gordon in January would be a blow – but nowhere near as big of a loss as Evertonians expected in the summer. He’s looked uninterested and out of form since the rumours emerged and his awful form saw him lose his spot as a starter in recent weeks.
An injection of goals are needed in January whether that be through a new striker or a new winger – or both. A wide man able to cut in and contribute to the scoring would be ideal for Lampard’s system, and the club need to identify a handful of attainable targets over the winter break.
If Lampard isn’t backed and reinforcements aren’t brought in – another relegation scrap looks increasingly likely.
