Major Everton stadium update revealed to business leaders
Business leaders from across Liverpool have been given a major update on the progress of new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium for Everton.
Members of the Downtown in Business networking organisation met with senior figures at Everton to discuss new sponsorship opportunities, challenges posed by construction workers and plans for the Goodison Legacy Project.
Chief Executive of Downtown in Business Frank McKenna confessed that nothing is as “big” as the development of the stadium in the United Kingdom right now.

“We are all keen to stay engaged with the stadium development because it is such a huge thing for the city’s economy,” said McKenna as quoted by evertonfc.com.
“This is not just a football stadium, it’s a catalyst for regeneration, jobs and investment and we’re hopeful that in the next few years we are going to see more regeneration on the back of Everton Stadium.
“What we have heard demonstrates the progress and optimism around the development and I think right now it’s probably the most ambitious project that’s going on in the country.
“The really great thing is that the Goodison Legacy Project is leaving behind so many great facilities to support the community, and it will include employment opportunities, new careers and new things happening as a result of that stadium build.
“It’s all positive, and from an ambition and aspirational perspective, I can’t see anything happening in the UK at the moment that’s as big as this.”

Fantastic.
The opportunities and growth the new Everton stadium will bring to Merseyside is fantastic and it helps the city as a whole in a massively radical way.
It will provide more jobs to the youth of the city, through the restaurants, bars and experiences incorporated into the new ground. And it will also be available as an entertainment venue for star musicians, heavyweight boxers and maybe even international football matches.
The positive connotations aligned with the completion of the stadium are literally endless and 2024 simply can’t come quickly enough.
It seems like Evertonians have been waiting for a lifetime for this change to happen and whilst it will be sad to leave Goodison Park, it’s a needed change.
With luck, the atmosphere Blues are able to generate at Goodison will be easily transferred to the new stadium this is something that can’t go missing with the move.
This is probably the only sour note that may be involved with the switch, but it’s something that remains unclear until Everton are playing their football there.
