Everton must make a move for Hoffenheim midfielder Dennis Geiger
Everton must make a move for Hoffenheim maestro Dennis Geiger after journalist Dean Jones claimed a transfer to the Blues is “one to look out for” on 27 November 2022.
Now, Geiger may not be the name that springs to mind to change Everton’s fortunes, but if you delve deeper into his career, he could very well be a game-changer.
He’s been labelled by former Germany international Sandro Wagner as a “live-wire” and likened by the now manager to Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich for his style of play.

“He’s a real live wire on the pitch. With a few more improvements, he can be like Joshua Kimmich,” said Wagner as quoted by bundesliga.com.
Some may say that Everton’s midfield doesn’t need any improvements, but they would be massively wrong, Idrissa Gana Gueye’s recent drop-off in form suggests otherwise.
Pair this with James Garner’s current injury problems and lack of top-flight experience and the Blues midfield looks slightly off-beat.

The violinist.
Geiger’s name translates from German into English as “violinist” something you can imagine Evertonians could latch on to and make a tune out of.
Nevertheless, cool nicknames don’t win you games, but Geiger has the talent to match his namesake and could be the orchestrator of the Blues for seasons to come.
He’s a safe bet for a transfer and makes the Blues midfield squad options look a whole lot tidier, it’s time to replace the deadwood of the squad with some fresh legs.
The likes of Abdoulaye Doucouré and Tom Davies are offering next ot nothing in terms of challenging to start in Everton’s midfield at the moment.
So why not bring in the 24-year-old German? For the right price, Everton have a lot to gain and not much to lose.
Obviously making pointless transfers is something the Blues need to avoid after recent woes, but a squad overhaul is needed.
And the more classy talents you can have in your ranks for Lampard to chop and change at will the better, Geiger fits the bill for this.
