James Garner suffers major setback for his Everton career – Injury Expert
Everton wonder James Garner has suffered a major setback in his career that will affect his chances of making a dint on Frank Lampard’s first XI, according to Injury Expert Ben Dinnery.
Garner could be out of action until at least February due to an ongoing back problem, something that leaves him on the outskirts of Lampard’s plans.
Injury Expert Dinnery confessed that the injury is a “major setback” for Garner after the midfielder’s unlucky track record with long-term injuries.

“The difficulty is that he is a player who recently arrived at the club and just managed to get himself back in contention in terms of his fitness, having missed a lot of football before that,” said Dinnery as quoted by GIVE ME SPORT.
“This major setback is going to really affect him for the second half of the season.”

Frustrating.
Lampard and Everton have had absolutely no luck with injuries lately and it’s frustrating times, to say the least.
Nevertheless, Evertonians shouldn’t give up on Garner just yet, he’s a bright, young talent who will thrive at some point in a Blue shirt.
The nine-cap England under-21 international has all the qualities to be a top player for Lampard one day, with luck, he can get over this injury quickly.
His setback may force the Blues into looking at some midfield reinforcements in January though, with Tom Davies also on the sidelines and Abdoulaye Doucouré potentially on his way out of the club.
Garner has shown during his career that he is capable of playing for a top team however, he was a key cog in Nottingham Forest’s Premier League promotion push last season.
If he can come back fit and firing and recapture some of this form, there will be no need to dip into the market, but reassurances on his fitness will have to be made first.
