Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium shown to potential group of Everton investors
Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium has recently been shown to a group of new potential investors and Everton developments could happen soon, according to journalist Paul Brown.
The Toffees are set to move into the 52,888-capacity stadium at the beginning of the 2024-25 season, but questions are still being raised as to how the club can fund such an expensive project. [The Guardian]
With the stadium set to cost up to £500million to construct, Everton have been openly searching for a source who could help finance the brand-new stadium.

But according to Brown, a new group of potential investors were shown around the stadium recently, and fresh developments could be on the cards.
He told Give Me Sport: “The issue of the stadium is a big one because a complete funding package for that has still not been put in place.
“I understand that some developments might take place over that soon.
“There apparently was a group shown around Bramley-Moore Dock recently, with a view to helping on the stadium finance side of things.
“But there doesn’t seem to be an imminent sale of the club or an investor who is suddenly going to come in and invest, buy shares or buy a stake in the club.”

At last
Ever since Everton owner Farhad Moshiri said he would throw whatever money was needed to complete the construction of the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, fans realistically knew investors were required.
The club have had to hire US investment bank JP Morgan and Japan’s largest bank, MUFG, to help raise the £500 million required, so the chance of a new investor will come as welcome news.
In the current financial climate, and following the news that their noisy neighbour Liverpool was put up for sale, the investment has become a more pressing issue with each day that passes.
Although no fans know the extent of Everton’s financial difficulties surrounding their brand-new home, it is not feasible to complete the construction without a serious injection of cash.
According to The Guardian, if Everton cannot afford to finish the stadium, the club will be obliged to pay to return Bramley-Moore Dock to the condition they found it in.
Everton fans will have their fingers crossed that the club have finally found the investors they so desperately need.
