Everton likely closing in on vital new deals after Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium presentation - Finance Expert

We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Everton...

Dan Plumley has insisted that local partnerships could be signed off by Everton after talks were held at the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium with businesses.

The Finance Expert admitted that keeping a majority of the stadium deals to the local community is always vital, especially when you are looking for a return on investments.

Everton confirmed on Thursday 01 December that senior club officials had met with businesses around Liverpool to give an update on proceedings.

“That seems most likely, we know that big commercial deals around new stadiums like naming rights are vitally important for return on investment,” he exclusively Goodison News.

“Also, the local businesses and local commercial deals which are signed at lower rates are arguably as important for certain club when you consider the community aspect of the stadium, the work that Everton have done in that area. Keeping local businesses and partners in mind and on board for the future is a really good move and strategy.

“I’m sure they’ve been talking about it for quite some time and it’s vitally important that local businesses and local partners are at the heart of this as well, as you have to keep them happy.”

Farhad Moshiri will be hopeful of signing off on some deals sooner rather than later.

It all came crashing down when ties were cut with Alisher Usmanov, with numerous big-money deals ending and starting the search all over again at Everton.

All eyes will be on developments in the coming weeks though, with some new partnerships potentially coming to town and being announced after months of struggles.
