Finance Expert: Everton may have finally found Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium investment needed

We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Everton...

Dan Plumley has insisted that Everton could finally be closing in on an investor for the remainder of the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium build after developments.

Paul Brown has reported over the past week that investors have been shown around the work site as the new stadium really starts to take shape on the waterfront.

Finance Expert, Plumley, has admitted that by showing these investors around and looking to close deals soon is vitally important for the progression of the club.

“Again, logic would dictate yes,” he exclusively told Goodison News when asked if a deal was likely close.

“That kind of activates that bigger picture and activates the smaller partnerships that you are trying to sign. We know there have been a few sticking points with the stadium, which is not unusual of course, these things are tricky investments to sort, but investors need to see they’ve got a good package for the future that is going to benefit them.

“That is where you can bring in everything else that the club are trying to do with local partners, but you have to keep that deal and relationship going throughout the process, so, the walk round the stadium site with investors and trying to get those financing deals over the line are still very important.”

This is everything that Farhad Moshiri has been waiting for.

It has been that long since ties with Alisher Usmanov were cut and the struggle for a replacement ahs continued that takeover talk has sprung to life and even talks of shares being sold.

Should a new financing partner be found, that should put that talk to bed for good – all eyes are on Everton.
