Everton must avoid new transfer for wantaway Rangers ace Ryan Kent

Everton must avoid making a move for wantaway Rangers ace Ryan Kent, he could be on his way out of Ibrox in January with his contract ending in the summer of 2023.

Now, whilst there is nothing set in stone that the Blues will make a switch for Kent, the winger was linked with a move to Goodison on 6 May by 90min.

Daily Record journalist Mark Guidi described Kent as a “passenger” in the Rangers team, adding further fuel to the fire that the Toffees must avoid this transfer blunder.

“Ryan Kent, I wouldn’t have him in the Rangers team now. He’s a passenger,” said Guidi on the GO Radio Football Show (13 October).

Damning comments from the journalist and something that the Everton hierarchy should consider before reigniting interest in Kent.

With Everton potentially readying themselves for another relegation battle, Kent isn’t the man you’d want in your corner for a scrap.

Everton

Hot and cold.

The Rangers winger is out of sorts this season and despite helping the club to a Europa League final last season, Everton must avoid this transfer.

Kent will likely ask for a large wage bill, something the Blues should be wary of and something they can ill afford to do at this moment in time.

He’s obviously desperate to leave Rangers too, despite the Scottish club giving him every opportunity to thrive within their team.

It’s this kind of attitude that stinks and it’s just not what Everton need in their squad right now, a centre-forward must be the club’s priority in January.

A deal for the winger would be a classic Everton move, handing a decent deal to a player who has been woeful this campaign and never really proved himself to be that great.

The hot and cold nature of the maverick winger isn’t needed at Goodison Park right now and whilst Lampard could potentially get the best out of him, there are other areas of concern to throw money at in January.
