Everton, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace want January transfer as Watford attacker Ismaila Sarr likely to leave

Everton, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are now reportedly in a three-way tussle to sign Watford attacker Ismaila Sarr in the January transfer window.

According to Ignazio Genuardi, former journalist at Goal and Foot365, the 24-year-old could leave the Championship club next month.

The 24-year-old was at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar but returned home after the Round of 16 after England knocked Senegal out by a 3-0 scoreline.

Via Twitter, Genuardi wrote, “In addition to Villa and Everton, #Crystal #Palace also looks at the case of the former Messin and Rennais I. #Sarr ( #Watford ). The Senegalese international could be the subject of a move during the winter transfer window.”

Worth exploring

The Toffees were linked with a move for him in the summer as well and it looks like their interest has not gone away after a tricky four months into the new season.

The Toffees do need a wide attacker who can get them goals and Sarr does seem to be the right fit for them.

He can play all across the front three and is arguably an upgrade on the wide options that the Toffees have.

Villa have shown that they will not back down as they’ve spent big money on transfers in the past few windows.

Palace, similarly are looking to go that next level and they’re seemingly backing Patrick Vieira so this could be a transfer saga worth keeping an eye on
