Everton hierarchy desperate for Frank Lampard to turn things around at club – Journalist
The Everton hierarchy are desperate for Frank Lampard to turn things around at the club, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Everton currently sit in an extremely precarious position in the Premier League table, just one point above the dreaded drop zone ahead of the return to action.
Jones went as far as to claim that he struggles to believe they have sounded out replacements ahead of him potentially being sacked at Goodison Park by Farhad Moshiri and co.

“I struggle to believe that it’s gone as far as sounding out new managers at this point for Everton,” said Jones as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.
“Mainly because I know how desperate they are for this appointment of Lampard to actually work out. They really, really want him to succeed and to just find some consistency that convinces them that this is all going to be okay.”

Music to the ears.
Yes, finally some positive news regarding Lampard’s future at the club, the Englishman needs to be given time and be backed and it seems the hierarchy are desperate for this to happen.
This all bodes well for Lampard to be given funds in the January transfer window, it’s needed if he stands any chance of pulling the Blues out of this position.
Signing a proven poacher in January alongside an attacking midfielder would do wonders for the Blues team and Lampard would be sitting in a lot more pretty position.
It remains to be seen whether the club’s hierarchy will actually do this or not, many transfer windows have passed where they simply haven’t.
But if they are as eager as Jones suggests for Lampard to succeed, then giving him the cash to splash is the only way he’ll achieve their goals.
Everton returns to Premier League action on 26 December against Wolves at Goodison Park, in what will be a must-win game.
