Robbie Savage makes admission on Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Tottenham Hotspur ace Hugo Lloris

Robbie Savage believes Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris is a better option than Everton ace Jordan Pickford ahead of the England v France clash.

When asked to pick a combined eleven between the two nations, he opted to go for the French goalkeeper over the Three Lions one despite Pickford conceding just one from open play in the tournament.

Lloris, on the other hand, has conceded in every game he’s played thus far, and Savage did not even explain why in the video below.

He said, “I’m going for Lloris in goal.”

Baffling

We don’t know on what basis did he pick Lloris over the Everton keeper as nothing suggests in recent weeks why he deserves the spot.

Not just in the World Cup, but even in the Premier League, the Everton keeper has been the better option so we’re highly baffled by this selection.

He’s even gone for Jules Kounde to be one of the centre-backs even though he’s not played there for even a minute in this World Cup.

Along with Raphael Varane, one of Ibrahima Konate or Dayot Upamecano play there for Les Bleues so it’s pretty evident that he’s not watching games and picking players on the basis of his preference.

Regardless, we’re sure that Pickford will put in yet another good performance as he’s been a big game player for the Three Lions in the past.

He does deserve to be England’s most successful goalkeeper of all time and that’ll only happen once he’s got his hands on the trophy.
