Everton interested in £8.6m move for Empoli full-back Fabiano Parisi
Everton are admirers of Empoli full-back Fabiano Parisi as the 22-year-old looks set to depart the Serie A side, according to Italian newspaper, La Stampa.
La Stampa suggest (pg 35, 10 December) a number of clubs are looking at the left back, with Torino the team showing the most interest. The Turin-based side would have to pay an initial £1.7million for Parisi before paying an additional £6.9million.
Lazio and Wolfsburg are also believed to be in the hunt for the Italian who is contracted to Empoli until the summer of 2025.

Interesting
Another left-back has certainly been on the cards for Frank Lampard, who seems unhappy with his current options in that area. Vitaliy Mykolenko has been dependable for the Toffees but Rúben Vinagre hasn’t adjusted well to life on Merseyside.
January promises to be a huge month for Lampard, with the Everton boss needing to improve his squad to really ease the growing fears of a relegation battle at Goodison Park. It remains to be seen what funds will be available, with Farhad Moshiri potentially reluctant to repeat past transfer mistakes.

A striker has to be at the top of Lampard’s shopping list after Neal Maupay’s poor goalscoring form and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s poor injury record.
It appears the club are going to stick by the former Chelsea boss (Dean Jones, GIVEMESPORT, 9 December) after their recent poor form, however, the 44-year-old could be in trouble if the Toffees cannot turn their form around.
The Toffees’ next game against Wolves at Goodison Park is looking like a must-win.
