Slaven Bilic addresses Ismaila Sarr Watford future amid Everton links
Slaven Bilic has refused to be drawn into speaking about Ismaila Sarr’s potential Watford exit amid links with Everton after he was missing in action.
According to the Mirror [9 December], the Toffees are exploring a £35million move for the 24-year-old in the January transfer window.
Amid this speculation, the Senegal international has not shown up for training which led to Bilic being asked questions about a potential exit.

He told the Watford Observer, “I don’t really want to say much more. We expected him back yesterday and I hoped he would be involved today.
“Of course, we miss Sarr. If had been here yesterday, of course, I would have played him. He didn’t come, he wasn’t at training yesterday, so he was out. From then on, I was totally concentrated on the game.
“I hoped he would be here, he wasn’t here, so that’s it. Of course, I expect him back this week. I expected him back even earlier. I know it is a very interesting story for the media, but I said what I said already. I don’t want to say anymore.”
Coincidence?
Bilic isn’t even clarifying why Sarr isn’t at training and this could be a sign that the Senegal attacker is considering his options.

He’s clearly playing at a level higher than the Championship and will be angling for a top-flight move sooner rather than later.
Watford in no way are a balanced and established Premier League club so we cannot fault him if he’s looking for a way out.
Everton would be a terrific move for him and he would not only play every week but be a key part of the squad rebuilding with players likely to come in to bring the best out of him.
We’re hoping that richer clubs do not come in for his services as he’s undoubtedly a solid attacker who’s only going to get better with time.
