New 100-tonne construction revealed at Everton stadium as snowy drone footage emerges from Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton have revealed a 100-tonne bridge deck is being constructed at the club’s new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The bridge has been constructed to help with site logistics and will provide a link to the western wharf, which will be located in the northwest corner. Furthermore, it will also be used for team coaches to arrive at the stadium on matchdays (Liverpool Echo, 13 December).

It’s also understood the new structure will allow Everton to meet sustainability measures by improving the flow of water to neighbouring docks, which will stimulate the growth of marine life.

Drone footage from Saturday 10 December (Mister Drone UK) has shown the latest developments which have taken place in the new stadium.

Taking shape

Week by week the new stadium is starting to shape, with the Toffees’ departure from Goodison Park growing ever closer as roof sections were also added to the construction recently. The start of the 2024/25 season will come around extremely quickly and Everton’s new era will soon begin. The images we see each week demonstrate just how impressive the stadium will be once it’s completed.

Although it will be hard to leave Goodison Park, there will be a realisation amongst fans that a new stadium is required to take the club to the next level. It will attract bigger attendance and also new fans, both in the UK and abroad.

Hopefully, the Toffees’ new home will allow them to be an attractive move for any player considering moving to Merseyside. A stadium based in the centre of a city, and a club with ambitions of closing the gap on the top six is certainly an exciting proposition.
