Everton defender Yerry Mina could be sold in January but may play v Wolves
There is a feeling around the Blue half of Merseyside that Everton defender Yerry Mina could be sold in January but he may feature against Wolves on 26 December, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Mina was signed from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 for £27million in what was at the time a real coup for the Toffees but injuries have plagued his time at Goodison Park.
The Liverpool Echo confessed that there is now a “feeling” around Goodison that Mina will be sold in January, but due to Conor Coady’s ineligibility, the Columbian could feature for Everton on 26 December.

“Yerry Mina is another who could leave the club next month. With the defender’s contract at Goodison Park set to expire in the summer, there is a feeling around the club that the centre-back’s future could well be away from Everton,” as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
“Mina has been at Everton since the summer of 2018 when he signed from Barcelona for a fee of £27m, but injuries and a battle for consistency have disrupted his spell at Goodison.
“It now appears that, despite the Colombia international picking up a knock against Celtic in the Sydney Super Cup, Mina is back fit after taking part in full training earlier this week. But it remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old will start against Wolves on Monday, with Coady unable to play against his parent club.”

Worth keeping.
Mina may be worth keeping at the club with the harsh and hectic Premier League calendar set to get even messier in the coming months.
Coady and James Tarkowski aren’t going to be able to play every single game for the Toffees and some sufficient backup will be needed.
Ben Godfrey’s return from injury eases this a little bit by keeping Mina at the club until at least the end of the season the Blues won’t be faced with a crisis at the back.
The Columbian can still come in and do a solid job at Goodison Park when fit and injuries really have halted him from growing into any sort of force on Merseyside.
But the towering centre-back is a solid bet to play a backup role to Coady and Tarkowski and saves the club from dipping into the market in January if he stays put.
Frankly, there are bigger issues for concern that need addressing once the winter window opens and new defenders for back up to Coady and Tarkowski aren’t on the list.
