Everton transfer priority shared with Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell working on deals
Everton are reportedly putting “significant” emphasis on sales in the January transfer window with them willing to listen to offers for several players.
According to the Liverpool Echo [21 December], Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell have been in touch during the World Cup break to discuss transfer targets.
The club had even drawn up a shortlist before the World Cup but the club did not place a serious emphasis on tracking players during the tournament.

Need new signings
Focusing on sales is one thing, but the Toffees cannot end the window without making at least two new signings.
While we agree that bringing in players on the back of a good World Cup is not the most sound strategy in the world, it does open the door to new names from different places.
Surely, there will be agents that make the club aware of their availability and it will be on Lampard, Thelwell and the scouting department to make final decisions.
With Salomon Rondon being taken off the payroll so abruptly, it could be an indicator that the club is looking to free up space in order to sign a couple of players.
Michael Keane and Yerry Mina are also linked with an exit and their sales will raise a decent amount of money that can be reinvested into the squad.
These are interesting times and hopefully, Everton are stronger on the other side of the window as they’ve often ended up weakening themselves without bringing in quality reinforcements.
