Gabby Agbonlahor issues Everton verdict ahead of Premier League return
Gabby Agbonlahor has shared what he thinks Everton need for Christmas ahead of their Premier League return on 26 December against Wolves.
The former Villan reckons the Toffees desperately need to get forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit and firing again after the 25-year-old suffered another injury setback on November 5.
Speaking on the TalkSport EDGE app Agbonlahor revealed that Everton need to “get back” the Calvert-Lewin who was getting selected for Gareth Southgate’s England.

“For Christmas, they need “Calvert Lewin to get up to speed,” said Agbonlahor to TalkSport EDGE.
“They need him to get back to the Calvert-Lewin that got England caps.”

Hopeful.
Calvert-Lewin’s recent injury struggles have been a blow to Everton’s season. The forward has been a key player for the team, scoring a number of important goals and providing a strong presence up front.
His absence has been felt, as the team have struggled to find the back of the net this campaign, prompting the club to look at alternatives in the January transfer window.
Despite these setbacks, Calvert-Lewin has shown a strong determination to overcome his injuries and return to form.
He has worked hard in rehabilitation and remained positive and focused, even when faced with setbacks, this dedication and perseverance are a testament to his character and will undoubtedly serve him well as he looks to get back to full fitness.
While his injuries have been a disappointment for both him and the team, it’s important to remember that injuries are a part of football.
It’s how a player responds to them that really counts, and Calvert-Lewin has shown that he has the resilience and determination to bounce back.
With luck, the Calvert-Lewin who was getting selected for the England national team will return soon and the Blues will undoubtedly profit from this.
