Joleon Lescott predicts result and scoreline of Everton Premier League clash v Wolves

Joleon Lescott has predicted that Everton and Wolves will share the spoils when the two sides meet each other in the Premier League on Saturday.

The former Toffees defender admits that it’s a huge game for Frank Lampard’s side given their table position and form before the World Cup break.

Wolves, too, are in a bit of relegation trouble themselves, and Lescott does not see any team picking up the three points.

Everton

He told Livescore, “This is a huge game for two of my old clubs who are languishing near the danger zone.

“Wolves are bottom but you could argue this is bigger for Everton with Julen Lopetegui easing in at his new club.

“The Toffees suffered two disastrous results against Bournemouth last month and a loss here could pile the pressure on Frank Lampard.

“Prediction: Everton 1-1 Wolves.”

Need a win

Nothing will lift the mood in the dressing room quite like the three points at Goodison Park after Premier League football returns.

The Toffees have most of their players ready to choose from so we’re expecting them to go into this one as favourites.

Lampard has spent a decent amount of time with most of the Everton players during the break so the players hopefully will have taken it all on board.

They do need more signings in January but the current crop of players are good enough to pick up the three points against Wolves.

Anthony Gordon surely has a point to prove in the second half of the season if he is to justify his valuation from the summer.

Currently, his stock is not at its all-time high and it could be that he was overwhelmed by all the interest in his services and it’s now on him to prove his critics wrong.
