Everton stance on permanent transfer for Wolves owned defender Conor Coady emerges
Everton are reportedly set to make the decision to sign Wolves defender Conor Coady permanently when they believe that the time is right.
According to the Liverpool Echo [24 December], the Toffees do want to make his loan move permanent but have not yet begun the process of it and as the finances are tight they could explore the deal later in the season.
Frank Lampard was recently asked about his plans to keep the England defender at the club for the long term and he gave a blunt response to it.

Makes sense
It was always going to be hard for a former Liverpool player to walk into Goodison Park and instantly be liked by the fans.
However, Coady has proven in a very short time why he’s not just a beloved figure in the dressing room but also among the fanbase.
The Goodison faithful have seen their defence looking more solid than ever and it’s courtesy to what Coady and James Tarkowski have brought to the table.
Signing another quality centre-back in January could see them moving to a back three which seems to be what Lampard would be more comfortable deploying.
It’s now time for the attacking players to take some responsibility as they’ve looked flaccid in the final third more often than not this season.
We’re hoping that there aren’t any more complications in getting the Coady permanent deal over the line sooner rather than later for Everton.
