Everton talent Isaac Price could feature against Wolves after Frank Lampard’s admission
Everton will face Wolves in the first game in the Premier League after the World Cup on Boxing Day (26 December) at Goodison Park.
Frank Lampard has dropped a hint that young talents like Tom Cannon, Isaac Price and Stanley Mills could be considered to be in the first-team squad rather than the Under-21s.
Price could be set for inclusion with the matchday squad against Wolves after impressing heavily in the Sydney Super Cup last month.

The young central midfielder has a contract at the club until the end of the season and he is being watched by sides across Europe.
“Isaac was probably our best player, he had a fantastic two games in Australia, Tommy Cannon has been playing regularly well, scoring and training with us,” said Lampard, as quoted by Liverpool Echo.
“They have both got a lot to improve and learn in their game, that is absolutely normal, but at the minute they are part of the first team squad rather than part of the U21s that come up to us when we need them – with Stanley Mills as well.
“That can sometimes change as injured players return and stuff like that but at the minute they are training and they are training at a level that keeps the level high so they are definitely knocking on the door and possibly both – Isaac and Tommy and possibly Stan – could be on the bench on Boxing Day.”
Progress
Price was superb in the Sydney Super Cup last month where he was widely seen as the club’s best player.
The 19-year-old showed great maturity and confidence and produced outstanding displays against the likes of Celtic and Sydney Wanderers.
Lampard has built a reputation for being a manager who loves to work with young talents. He is someone who is always ready to give young players a chance in the side.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that he is already planning to integrate Price and Cannon into the senior side.
These players are too good for academy levels at the moment, and Lampard needs to make a decision whether to send them on loan away from the club or give them more minutes for the senior side.
The Toffees are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment, and they badly need to pick up wins. Wolves are rock bottom in the league, and the Toffees should expect to pick up all three points on Monday.
