Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga frustrated as Everton eye January transfer
Everton are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga in the January transfer window amid his lack of game time.
According to the Daily Mail [26 December], the 20-year-old is left frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities under Erik ten Hag.
This has seen him contemplating his future and along with the Toffees, a number of clubs are considering his services in January.

Not quite the answer
Everton need to move past the transfer strategy of signing players that are not clicking at billionaire-owned “big” clubs thinking that they’ll thrive at Goodison Park.
They’ve signed the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Morgan Schneiderlin in the past and that did not work out too well and more recently they even brought in Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek.
Some players are perhaps not suited for the Premier League or after a good season or two are on the decline and a move cannot suddenly change the trajectory of their career.
At least van de Beek was a loan deal so there’ll not be too many regrets but the Alli move was a permanent one and highly pointless.
Even the Beskitas chiefs are frustrated by him and have gone on record to voice their displeasure, hoping that it’ll provoke a reaction out of him.
Elanga clearly will not start ahead of Anthony Gordon, Dwight McNeil or Demarai Gray and he’s not really the game changer that Everton desperately need as they’re fighting a relegation battle.
He might be known for his “Incredible” displays in the gym, but he has not replicated that on the field of play and it’s perhaps why United would not mind letting him go.
