Noa Lang could be saviour for Everton if Kevin Thelwell can seal January deal

Everton are reportedly keen to sign Noa Lang from Club Brugge in January and he could turn out to be the saviour for the club.

According to journalist Dean Jones, the Toffees could rival Leeds United for the transfer of Lang as they look to solve their attacking issues.

Lang is likely to be on the move in January according to Fabrizio Romano [Caught Offside], and potential suitors will have to pay around €35million [£31 million] to secure his signing.

The Toffees lost their first match after the World Cup break on Boxing Day, suffering a 2-1 defeat against Wolves.

Once again, it became very clear that Frank Lampard needs to sign a striker and a creative playmaker.

They desperately need help going forward. While the club will continue to pin hopes on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a second attacker is required in January.

Lang is not an out-and-out striker. He is rather a wide forward who can play in all positions behind the striker.

Everton

He has got an enviable record of 31 goals and 29 assists during his three seasons at Club Brugge, and featured for the Netherlands in the World Cup as well.

In theory, he could help with scoring and creating chances. He could be the saviour of the club as the Toffees once again are starting down at a relegation battle.

He won’t come cheap, and the Toffees will have to pay a premium fee for his signature. But Kevin Thelwell must do everything to get the deal done.

At 23, Lang is approaching the peak years of his career, and he could be a game-changer signing for Everton.
