Everton: Sean Dyche will appeal to Blues if Frank Lampard gets sack

51-year-old former Burnley boss Sean Dyche will appeal to Everton should the club part ways with Frank Lampard, according to Inews.

Lampard is having a torrid time of it as of late and the Blues relegation doomed form has seemed to carry on into the 2022/2023 campaign with problems at the heart of the club.

Inews confessed that the availability of Dyche, who would be able to work on a “shoestring budget” would be the perfect candidate for those who feel Everton are too easy to beat.

“The availability of survival specialists like Sean Dyche, willing to work on a shoestring budget, will hold appeal to those who feel Everton remain simply far too easy to beat,” as quoted by Inews.

“These are the sort of dilemmas that crack apart consensus in a club. Lampard was a unifying force 12 months ago but risks becoming increasingly divisive if results don’t turn.”

Crunch time.

The next month or so is simply crunch time for Lampard and his future at Goodison Park and continued poor results will ultimately leave him in the firing line.

Has he been given the funds to stamp his claim on the squad? Has he signed the players he wants? It’s tough to say but the January transfer window will be telling.

The Englishman just has to make it to this point right now and the Blues can ill afford to slip further into a relegation dogfight in the meantime.

A manager like Dyche does have a sense of security around him, a proper tough-nosed gaffer who wouldn’t tolerate players not showing up.

Maybe this is what the team and club need right now. Yes, Dyche doesn’t bring an attractive brand of football but he has proven he can deliver results.

Lampard still has a bit of time to prove himself though and a majority of fans want to see the former Chelsea boss blossom on Merseyside, but the Premier League doesn’t wait around for anyone’s swansong.
