Everton make contact to sign Largie Ramazani as transfer news emerges

Everton have set their sight on signing young Belgian attacker Largie Ramazani who plays for La Liga club, Almeria, as reported by Spanish newspaper AS.

The Toffees have already approached the Spanish club over a potential move for the 21-year-old in the January transfer window, with contact established.

The young winger has a contract at the club until 2025, and Almeria have referred to his £35.4m release clause as Frank Lampard looks for attacking reinforcements at Goodison Park.

Unlikely

Ramazani played for Manchester United but he left the club in search of regular games. He made only one senior appearance during his spell at Old Trafford and joined the Spanish side for free in 2020.

Last season he scored nine goals for the club in all competitions and has managed two goals in La Liga thus far, and his burgeoning growth has alerted the Toffees.

Everton do need to bolster their forward department in the January window. They need to add a striker to their ranks, and Frank Lampard could also look to add a quality winger.

Lampard does have Demarai Gray, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil as options, but he needs more depth and quality in that region.

The price quoted for Ramazani is way too high, even though he has progressed leaps and bounds in the last two years. He is a hitherto unknown talent, and at that price, the Toffees should get better players elsewhere.
