Everton and Cardiff City arrive at Niels Nkounkou transfer conclusion after talks
Everton and Cardiff City were reportedly in talks over loanee Niels Nkounkou this week to discuss further course of action.
According to Wales Online [6 January], they have arrived at a conclusion that he best served to continue the rest of the season in the capital.
There were reports about bringing the 21-year-old back to Goodison Park, but it seems like the club have decided against it.

Good move
It’s pretty evident that Frank Lampard does not have plans to play the left-back regularly as he would be the third or fourth choice.
Vitaliy Mykolenko and Ruben Vinagre are doing well between themselves and Nkounkou would become a squad player should he return.
At Cardiff, he is playing week in and week out and getting vital senior experience under his belt, whereas at Everton it would just be with the reserves.

Whoever the manager is can then take a call on him in the summer after having a good pre-season tour and deciding if he’s ready for the first team.
He has played for the senior Everton side before so it’s not like it will be a new world for him, but he’s certainly going to return as a more polished player.
The defender had been on the brink of signing a new deal in August but did end up putting pen to paper and it remains to be seen if he does it in the coming months.
