Everton duo Tom Cannon and Nathan Broadhead wanted by Preston and Ipswich
Everton forwards Tom Cannon and Nathan Broadhead could be on the move this month, with Preston North End interested in Cannon, while Ipswich Town eye a potential deal for Broadhead, according to the Daily Mail.
Cannon, 20, has been on the Everton books since the age of 10, becoming a key figure and regular goalscorer for the Toffees’ youth teams throughout his rapid development.
Such performances at the youth level have led to first-team opportunities under Frank Lampard recently with the player making his Premier League debut in the defeat to Bournemouth in December, and according to the print edition of the Daily Mail [6 January, page 77], North-West Championship club Preston North End are scouring for his services.

Cannon isn’t the only Everton forward attracting interest.
Wigan Athletic loanee Broadhead could be possibly heading towards the DW Stadium exit door this month following a decent loan spell with the Championship basement boys, and Ipswich Town are interested in him this month.
Keep Cannon, sell Broadhead
There’s no doubt that Cannon is an exceptional talent, having scored 50 goals for both the under-18s and under-21s during four good years with the academy.
And the 20-year-old may seem ready for first-team action and further development elsewhere, and the Championship is the most ideal and perfect environment for him to mature and learn his trade.

Considering his huge potential, Everton should think twice about selling him, and rather loan him out as he could have a future at Goodison Park. If they do sell him, the club should enforce a buy-back clause to ensure they have a future with him.
It may well turn out to be a different story for Broadhead though, who doesn’t seem like he has much of a future at Goodison of his own.
Despite a rather decent loan spell at Wigan Athletic, the Toffees should look to cash in what they could in the forward, although stepping down from the Championship to League One with the Tractor Boys may not appeal to the 24-year-old.
