Everton striker Nathan Broadhead close to transfer as fee agreed with Ipswich Town

Everton striker Nathan Broadhead reportedly seems to be a step closer to sealing his permanent move away from Goodison Park.

According to East Anglian Daily Times [7 January], the Toffees have agreed on a seven-figure fee with Ipswich Town over his sale in January.

He will have to decide whether a switch to League One is what he wants as he’s still got 18 months left on his deal at Goodison Park.

Broadhead is 24 and still seems some way away from being a first-team regular at Everton or any Premier League for that matter.

With still a decent amount of time left on his current deal at the club, there still is value in his services and we believe that seven figures are fair for someone who’s just played one Premier League game.

It remains to be seen if he thinks that League One is the level he should be playing at or whether he would want top-flight football in another country.

Regardless of his preference, one thing is clear and it’s that Everton are looking to raise funds and see him as one of the players they want to get rid of in this window.

That would be wise given the interest in his services but that money then needs to go back into bringing in new players.

Frank Lampard, or whoever the manager is, needs a fair chance at avoiding relegation and quality attacking players are the need of the hour.
