Everton striker Nathan Broadhead set to seal Ipswich Town transfer – Alan Myers

Everton striker Nathan Broadhead has reportedly arrived in Ipswich to seal his permanent move to Ipswich Town in January.

According to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers, the 24-year-old will not feature for the Toffees again and has made up his mind to join Ipswich.

This comes only a few hours after the League One side agreed a seven-figure fee with Everton over his permanent transfer.

Myers wrote on Twitter, “Nathan Broadhead in Ipswich to complete a permanent move to Portman Road.”

Good call

Broadhead has not progressed as he should at the age of 24 and it made no sense to keep loaning him out without seeing any improvements.

It’s best for all parties that he gets a fresh start and rekindles his career without the pressure of being at a Premier League club.

He did make his senior debut for the Toffees but failed to consolidate a spot in the first-team squad and Frank Lampard clearly does not rate him that highly either.

Everton

We’re expecting this move to be finalised within the next few days and wish the player the best of luck in the future.

Hopefully, Everton have got a decent fee in exchange and that money should then be reinvested in the squad as they desperately need a quality attacker.

It seems like Lampard will be there unless Moshiri sacks another manager midway through a transfer window, but we cannot rule anything out at this stage.
