Farhad Moshiri stance on Wayne Rooney detailed amid recent Everton form
Farhad Moshiri is reportedly considering appointing Wayne Rooney as the next Everton manager if Frank Lampard is made redundant.
The Toffees suffered yet another defeat on 6 January against Manchester United in the FA Cup by a 3-1 scoreline.
It’s understood that the Toffees owner is open to bringing in Rooney, who’s currently at DC United, to take over at the helm.

Right man?
Rooney would be an easy sell to the fans and he would undoubtedly command the respect of the entire Everton dressing room.
His career with Manchester United has cemented him as one of the best ever Premier League attackers and his reputation is enough to make headlines.
He’s also proven himself as a manager as he excelled in really difficult circumstances at Derby County.
John Terry has lauded his work there as “unbelievable” and it is truly spectacular what he’s achieved there.

Right now, he’s plying his trade at DC United and it’s understood that he would be open to moving to Goodison Park should an offer arrive at his doorstep.
Whether or not he’s the right man for the job, remains to be seen as he still does not have any top-flight experience in European football.
He could be a good appointment to steady the ship temporarily but whether or not he would accept that kind of short-term role remains to be seen.
