Everton thinking outside the box in potential transfer for Dodi Lukebakio
Everton are thinking outside the box in a potential transfer for Hertha Berlin forward Dodi Lukebakio, according to former Eurosport journalist Dean Jones.
French outlet Jeunes Footeux touted the Blues with a move for Lukebakio on 2 January, revealing that he could be a potential replacement for Andros Townsend.
Jones shared that he thinks a move for Lukebakio is a really interesting one from Everton and it’s nice to see the club “thinking outside the box” for once.

“In terms of Lukebakio, it’s an interesting one,” said Jones as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.
“And it’s actually nice to see and hear of Everton thinking outside the box a little bit.”
Interesting proposition.
Lukebakio is an interesting proposition for the Blues and has had a brief spell in England before playing for Watford once switching in a £17m move to Hertha Berlin, and has been described as “powerful” in the past.

In 83 appearances for the German capital club, he has managed to contribute 24 goals and 16 assists, with 11 of those goal contributions coming in his 16 outings this season.
So if the Toffees were to make a move, they’d be signing a man who is bang in form and one who seems to be flying under the radar of top European clubs.
Adding options in the final third for Frank Lampard is vital to the chances of Everton surviving relegation and they could do far worse than Lukebakio.
With the market currently crowded and teams in and around the Blues vying for the same kind of talents, the out-of-the-box transfer for the Hertha Berlin forward would be extremely shrewd.
