Everton: Journalist shares verdict on Tom Cannon loan move to Preston North End
Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas has reacted to the news that Everton forward Tom Cannon has joined Preston North End on loan until the end of the season.
Preston North End revealed the move on their official Twitter channel on 10 January with a video montage of some of Cannon’s finest hits.
Thomas shared his verdict on the loan move on his personal Twitter account, stating that the switch is a “big opportunity” for Cannon to impress.
“Big opportunity for Tom Cannon – can’t wait to see how he gets on at Preston,” said Thomas on his personal Twitter account (10 January).
“Ryan Lowe a big fan and had watched him a few times for the U21s at the end of last year.”

Massive chance.
As much as it would have been nice to see Cannon get a shot at staking his claim in Frank Lampard’s starting XI, this move may be the best thing for him right now.
This is a real opportunity for Cannon to become a star in the making and he’ll likely be given every chance for some game time at Preston North End.
The youngster has proven that he’s ready to make the step up in his footballing career and the Championship may be the perfect playground for him to showcase his skills.
Especially when you consider the Blues’ current Premier League position, getting a youngster involved in a relegation scrap wouldn’t be the greatest thing for his confidence.
It’s going to be really interesting to see how Cannon gets on, with luck, he’ll return to Goodison Park with the team safe and secured in the Premier League for another season.
